Ruh - روح

Ruh ("soul") or Ruhi ("my soul") is an oil painting composed entirely of Arabic letters forming the verse 78:8 from the Qur’an: “And We created you in pairs.” Using flowing red and blue forms, the piece explores the duality of the soul, earthly and divine, physical and spiritual. Rooted in Islamic belief that the soul is a breath from God, the abstract calligraphy blurs into movement, echoing the unseen journey of the ruh. The colors symbolize passion and serenity, reflecting balance. This work is both a visual and spiritual meditation, inviting viewers to contemplate the sacred mystery of the soul.
